L'Albera Natural Park 

On the southern slopes of the Massif de L'albera we find two distinct zones. Western, Central European character, with beech and oak forests moist, and the Eastern, more Mediterranean, with vegetation of cork oak groves and thickets where there are still the last populations of tortoise.
